Colorado Springs Cardiology announced that the first procedure has been successfully completed at its new ASC, Colorado Springs Cardiology Heart & Vascular Center: a diagnostic heart catheterization that “went smoothly.”
The ASC’s administrator, Mark Baker, said the new facility will enable teams to “provide a more focused and personalized care experience” for patients “at a significantly lower cost to patients and insurers.”
Colorado Springs Cardiology states that the ASC will “provide advanced cardiovascular procedures in a more accessible and efficient setting — without the need for a hospital stay” and “specialized cardiac and vascular care, all in one place.”
Among the procedures that will be performed at the center: diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures, permanent pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, implantable loop recorders, diagnostic and interventional peripheral arterial procedures, and diagnostic and interventional peripheral venous procedures.
