Becker’s Hospital Review on October 25 reported that the following five hospitals and healthcare systems have announced plans to raise nurses’ pay.
The five are:
- Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune City, New Jersey—union contract pay increase between 8% and 11%
- UMass Memorial Health, Worcester, Massachusetts—union contract pay increase between 8% and 19.5%
- UW Medicine, Seattle—union contract pay increase of 4% on July 1, 2023, and 3% on July 1, 2024
- Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota—pay increase of 6% for healthcare workers, including nurses, technicians, and security and maintenance workers
- University of Michigan Health, Ann Arbor—union contract that includes a $273 million compensation package.
