The Surgery Center of Greater Nashua, part of Southern New Hampshire Health, stated that it has become the first U.S. same-day surgical care facility to attain NIAHO (National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations) accreditation by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
“This designation by DNV means an outpatient surgical facility meets rigorous, evidence-based standards for patient safety, quality of care, and continuous performance improvement,” stated the health system.
“The fact that we are the first in the U.S. to achieve this is a testament to how a community non-profit health system can bring patient care to the highest levels in the country,” said Leanne Berube, executive director of surgical services at Southern New Hampshire Health.
