Here are some details on two new surgery centers that opened this month.
FOX 23 News reports that Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Okla., opened a new outpatient surgery center yesterday. The 17,000-square-foot facility features four ORs, two procedure rooms and 19 pre-op and post-op bays.
Meanwhile, the opening of Precision Surgery Center of Englewood Cliffs, a joint venture among New Jersey health system Englewood Health, ASC management and development company SCA Health and their physician partners, was announced. The 20,000-square-foot multispecialty ASC intends to “expand access to high-quality outpatient surgical care in Bergen County,” states Englewood Health, which describes the facility as the first newly developed ASC it has built. Including four “fully equipped” ORs and two procedure rooms, and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the ASC is anticipated to host “thousands” of gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, ENT, podiatry and pain management procedures annually.
