Rochester Regional Health has begun construction on a $17.5 million Orthopedic and Neurosciences Center in Canandaigua, N.Y., with the goal of expanding access to specialized orthopedic and neurological care throughout the Finger Lakes region.
The center, which will be built within an existing 39,000-square-foot facility, is intended to be a “comprehensive destination for orthopedic, spine, pain management, imaging, and outpatient surgical services.” Several existing Rochester Regional Health practices currently serving patients at separate locations throughout the city, including Canandaigua Orthopedic Associates, Finger Lakes Bone and Joint, and the Spine and Pain Center, will relocate to the new center.
The building will house dedicated surgical and procedural space with four ORs and 16 pre- and post-procedure bays. Rochester Regional Health states that the space will operate as both an ASC and an HOPD.
The facility also will feature 32 clinical exam rooms “designed to support coordinated care across orthopedic, spine, pain management, and related specialties,” as well as onsite imaging services including MRI, X-ray, and DEXA technology.
The project is expected to be completed in spring 2027.
