RWJBarnabas Health updates progress on central N.J. Multi-Specialty Center, including ASC

RWJBarnabas Health announced this week that it has raised the final steel beam of its new three-story, 67,000-square-foot Multi-Specialty Center. The facility will be a joint venture among RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey Imaging Network, Seaview Orthopaedics, and Family First Urgent Care. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027.

The site, located in Howell Township, N.J., is intended to expand access to multispecialty services for patients in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. It will contain an ASC, along with office space for New Jersey Imaging Network, Family First Urgent Care, and RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group heart and vascular providers.

“This new facility will play a key role in delivering more convenient, connected outpatient and specialty care for patients in Central New Jersey,” said RWJBarnabas Health President and CEO Mark Manigan.

“This new Multi-Specialty Center is designed around the patient experience — bringing imaging, urgent care, surgery, and specialty services together in one location,” added Eric Carney, President and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center. “It will make it easier for individuals and families in the region to receive seamless, coordinated care close to home.”

RWJBarnabas Health posted this YouTube video about the raising of the final beam and its vision for the facility:

The upcoming facility will add to RWJBarnabas Health's growing presence and investment in the region, which includes the recent openings of the Toms River West Ambulatory Surgery Center, a five-OR multispecialty ASC that is a joint venture with physician-owners, and the RWJBarnabas Health School of Nursing in Oceanport.
