Show your team some love: Nominate them for Periop Team of the Year!

Teamwork makes the dream work, and your perioperative teams are no exception. If you feel the efforts of one of your top-performing teams deserve industry-wide recognition for their outstanding work and dedication to the health of both your organization and your patients, we encourage you to submit them for our Periop Team of the Year award!

Nominations for the 2026 Periop Leader Awards, which also include Periop Leader of the Year and ASC Leader of the Year, are now open through August 1.

For the Periop Team of the Year award, we’re looking to recognize an exceptional perioperative team that has demonstrated collaboration, innovation, resilience, and a shared commitment to outstanding patient care across the surgical continuum, from pre-op through recovery. We encourage you to nominate your top team for:

• Actions they took to help your facility or department achieve or exceed operational, financial, clinical, patient experience, or staff engagement goals.
• Showing leadership initiative that resulted in measurable improvements in patient care, safety, workflow efficiency, team culture, staff retention, or professional development.
• Quality or process improvement efforts they drove such as innovative approaches to staffing, communication, collaboration, education, or operational challenges.
• Contributions they made that strengthened multidisciplinary teamwork, supported the broader perioperative community, improved community health, or addressed organization-wide challenges.
• Creative solutions, innovations, or initiatives they devised that positively impacted perioperative operations, patient outcomes, or the employee experience.

Nominees are not expected to meet every one of those criteria. Our judges will evaluate the overall impact and significance of your team’s accomplishments that you share in your nomination.

The three finalists for each category—Periop Team of the Year, Periop Leader of the Year, and ASC Leader of the Year—will be invited to Periop Leader Week 2026, where the award ceremony will be held. We’ll publish the winners online following the ceremony.
