Want to take a look inside a soon-to-open cardiovascular ASC? Lifestyle media outlet Bham Now has toured and shared photos of Birmingham Heart & Vascular Surgery Center, which is opening soon in an existing building on the UAB St. Vincent’s East campus in Birmingham, Ala.
The article, titled “How Birmingham is leading the way in healthcare architecture + why that’s better for all of us,” explains that patients are choosing ASCs over hospitals because they “make care easier and less stressful for patients and their families.” The outlet seeks to show its readers “what one of these facilities looks like in real life.”
The three-OR ASC is slated to perform right and left heart catheterizations, loop implants and explants, and placements of pacemakers, defibrillators and stents at the facility, which will be jointly owned by Birmingham Heart Clinic, UAB Medicine and cardiovascular ASC management company US Heart & Vascular.
