Watson Clinic has opened its second ASC in Lakeland, Fla. The 30,000-square-foot Watson Clinic Surgery Center South shares a campus with Watson Clinic Parkway Medical Center and Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital.
Watson Clinic Surgery Center South features six ORs, six PACUs and 20 pre- and post-surgery holding bays. The clinic’s surgeons will perform a “diverse range of minimally invasive outpatient procedures” at the facility from specialties including breast surgery, general surgery, OB-GYN, orthopedics/sports medicine, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology.
Live surgeries will begin at the facility in late July, with a full-time schedule expected by the end of August following completion of a survey and accreditation process by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
Watson Clinic will continue to operate its other Lakeland ASC, Watson Clinic Surgery Center.
