WVU Medicine, Arthrex teaming on ASC project

Gulfshore Business reports that three Southwest Florida-based companies are partnering on a new ASC in West Virginia – and one of them is medical device manufacturer Arthrex.

The project is described as a “collaborative model” involving Arthrex, construction management company DeAngelis Diamond and architecture firm Studio+, which are working together on the project for WVU Medicine at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, W. Va.

The development is part of Arthrex’s ASC X program, which the outlet reports “brings together surgeons, designers and builders early using an immersive holodeck simulation environment on Arthrex’s campus to refine surgical workflows.” It says the two-story facility will include ORs, pre-op and post-op areas and “shelled space for future expansion.”
