Smiley Poswolsky

Our Opening Keynote speaker today at Periop Leader Week will be Adam “Smiley” Poswolsky—a workplace culture and belong expert who has addressed organizations like Mayo Clinic, Apple, Google, JPMorgan Chase, Verizon, and the U.S. Navy, and whose work has been featured in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The World Economic Forum. And today, he will address the perioperative leadership community at Periop Leader Week.

We’re all looking forward to experiencing his engaging and energetic talk today—a talk that we hope will inspire and energize our community. In a world of encroaching isolation and inhumanity, Smiley’s keynote will strike a much more hopeful chord. It’s titled The future of work is human: Building belonging and connection in the age of AI.

“I am honored to open Periop Leader Week with this message,” Smiley tells us. “The people who will be in that room are doing some of the most demanding, high-stakes work in healthcare. They deserve to feel connected, supported, and equipped to lead. Human connection is not a soft skill. It is the strategy.”

We’ll have more on Smiley’s talk in tomorrow’s edition of Periop Leader Week Show Daily!
