Event brings together OR, business, ASC, PACU and SPD leaders by uniting the OR Manager Conference and OR Business Management Summit
Rockville, MD – February 10, 2026 — Periop Leader Network, formerly OR Manager, today announced the launch of Periop Leader Week, a new national leadership event designed to empower perioperative leaders across clinical, operational, and business roles. Periop Leader Week unites two trusted industry staples —the OR Manager Conference and the OR Business Management Summit—into one collaborative, cross-disciplinary leadership learning experience.
As the perioperative landscape evolves beyond the traditional operating room to encompass ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), procedural areas, sterile processing, and perioperative support services, perioperative leaders require broader perspectives, nuanced strategies, and trusted peer-driven insights. Periop Leader Network reflects this expanded reality and supports leaders at every level of the perioperative continuum.
“Periop Leader Week reflects where perioperative care is headed: integrated, data-driven, team-based, and focused on delivering better patient care with greater operational efficiency and financial resilience,” says Matt Steinmetz, Brand Director for Periop Leader Network and Periop Leader Week. “This reimagined experience allows all perioperative leaders to discover the tools, answers, and allies they need to succeed in today’s healthcare landscape.”
For four decades, the OR Manager Conference has served as a cornerstone for leaders focused on staffing, safety, compliance, and day-to-day OR performance, while the OR Business Management Summit has equipped leaders with financial, operational, and analytical strategies to improve utilization, margin, and strategic decision-making. Periop Leader Week preserves the depth and integrity of both experiences while creating new opportunities for cross-disciplinary learning and connection.
“As perioperative leaders, the challenges we face cross organizational boundaries: job titles, service lines, and departments,” says Malcolm Ladines, MS, MLS, BSN, RN, CSSBB, CQIA, Business Director, Perioperative Services at Baylor University Medical Center, Baylor Scott & White Health, and Program Committee Member for Periop Leader Week. “Staffing decisions affect budgets. Operational bottlenecks affect patient access and can delay care. None of it can be solved in isolation. Periop Leader Week reflects how we actually work — by learning from one another across roles and bringing those shared insights back to our teams. That spirit of cross‑functional learning is what drives meaningful improvement in perioperative care.”
“The 2026 program will feature role-specific education alongside shared sessions designed to bridge perspectives and encourage collaboration,” says Joe Paone, content director of Periop Leader Week and Periop Leader Network. “The event has always and continues to emphasize actionable–not theoretical–real-world insights, peer connection, and solutions leaders can bring back to their organizations immediately.”
Registration for Periop Leader Week is now open. The inaugural Periop Leader Week will take place October 4–7, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia.
