Southwoods Health announced it has completed a multimillion-dollar, 40,000-square-foot expansion and renovation project at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman, Ohio.
The system stressed that much of the work on the 30-year-old facility was designed to “further enhance the patient experience.” It stated that the upgrades “prioritize patient privacy with larger, modernized and more comfortable spaces designed to foster a calming environment before and after medical procedures.” Included in the project are a newly constructed endoscopy unit and renovated pre- and postoperative surgical areas.
Southwoods Health added that the “contemporary design features larger patient bays with greater privacy, as well as an expanded waiting room to better welcome families.”
