According to The Folsom Times, Kaiser Permanente has officially broken ground on a large-scale expansion of its Folsom, Calif., medical campus to add a new 187,000-square-foot “comprehensive care center that will bring additional primary care, specialty medical services, urgent care and outpatient treatment options to the growing community” without patients needing to travel to Sacramento.
The media outlet reports that the new outpatient facility, expected to open in May 2030, will feature “60 clinical offices offering adult and family medicine, oncology and other specialized medical services,” and “will also include urgent care, pharmacy, laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, bringing multiple areas of patient care together in one location.”
Notably, reports the outlet, the center will be adjacent to Kaiser’s existing Folsom Ambulatory Surgery Unit, which is undergoing an expansion project to grow by approximately 27,000 square feet. The ASC expansion is expected to be completed in March 2028, two years ahead of the comprehensive care center.
