Florida non-profit health system Lee Health announced that construction has started on its new Pediatric Surgery Center and Family Medicine Clinic. The two-story, 60,000-square-foot facility, expected to open in early 2028, will be located adjacent to Lee Health’s Golisano Children’s Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center campus in Fort Myers, Fla.
The first floor will include four pediatric surgery ORs and two endoscopy suites, while the second story will house a Family Medicine Residency clinic to train “future Lee Health physicians,” along with a dedicated area for pediatric-focused care and family medicine services.
Lee Health stated that more than $21 million in philanthropic support has been essential to advancing the project.
