Report examines slowly growing number of ‘all-electric’ hospitals in the U.S.

Last winter, UCI Health — Irvine America became America’s first all-electric acute care hospital. Fierce Healthcare notes that the health system described the project as a deliberate sustainability choice and moral obligation, rather than just a cost play.

Now, the outlet reports, other health systems such as Kaiser Permanente, Henry Ford Health, and Baptist Health South Florida are developing their own all-electric hospital projects for their own reasons.
